Originally we were on the look our for a cable to connect our office Electric Guitar which has been hung up on the wall for far to long, to our Macs. Mistakenly we purchased the Griffin Guitar Connect Cable for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch not realising that it wouldn’t hook up to a Macbook or desktop yet it’s come in surprisingly useful thanks to Rock Prodigy
The cable has the main 1/4″ jack on one side which leads into 2 line outs, one for connecting to your iOS device and the other connecting to headphones. During our rock god session with Rock Prodigy (reviewed) everything worked as expected. There were one or two issues with sensitivity but, quite honestly we can’t tell if that’s down to the app, guitar or our ineptitude about all things musical.
